PITTSBURGH

We took Quinn back to her old stomping ground - Squirrel Hill.  We showed her the house she lived in the first year of her life, we visited Mimi and Papa Bruce, we played at Jon and Katie's house and most importantly (at least to Daddy) Quinn had her very first Uncle Sam's Cheesesteak...chickensteak in her case.  For a kid who normally exists on fruit and veggies quinn ate her fair share of meat on this trip.  It is impossible to visit Papa or Pittsburgh without being stuffed full of various meats.  Delicious and disgusting all at the same time.

A TRIP BACK HOME...New Castle Style

Quinn had a ball in New Castle visiting Papa Lambo, Rena, Aunt Martha, Uncle Larry, John & Marc.  She played outside with the neighborhood kids from sun up till sun down, she ate her favorite food - Aunt Martha's meatballs, and she danced to Papa's jukebox!

The Learning Tower

this is one of the best toys/kid gear out there.  it is this wooden platform/step stool that allows toddlers to be counter level without the risk of falling.  quinn loves to help in the kitchen and now she can do it safely and whenever she wants to.  she has been helping to make dinner and do the dishes daily since we received this awesome gift from dave's mom.  thank you magga!  she also likes to eat her snack while standing in it.  it makes her feel like she is part of the action.

Piggies!

i am pleased to announce that quinny's hair is finally long enough for pigtails (though just barely). this is a big day for us as i have been patiently waiting for the time to come when people stop asking me if she is a boy.  come on people - when a child is old enough to speak in complete sentences it is just plain rude to ask if they are a boy or girl.  don't the pink sandals and the purse she is carrying give it away?

Team Joseph

The Birmingham Relay For Life was a success!  Over $32,000 was raised (Team Joseph helped to raise $1,500)!  Below are some pictures of us painting bags, selling bags and hanging out at  The Relay.  Thanks so much to everyone that contributed their time, money and painting skills.  Let's all pray that the money raised this year will help to provide treatment and a cure for GBM.
