Happy Birthday to Quinn
We celebrated Quinn's 2nd birthday yesterday afternoon with a few close friends - Oskar, Parker, Kate and their families. Sasha, we missed you dearly and can't wait to celebrate your birthday when you return home from Serbia. Quinn began her special day by going out for a donut with daddy and picking out a special birthday balloon (a butterfly). Quinn is really into butterflies lately and always tells us "i'm growin' like a little butterfly". After nap our friends came over and the kids jumped in the bouncey castle. Then, it was time for dinner and cupcakes! Though it is always a bit sad to celebrate events like this without our families we feel so blessed to have found such dear friends here. Quinn, Grandma & I were lucky enough to tag along with Dave on his most recent business trip...to the beach! We had a fantastic house on the sound with a beautiful swimming pool that Quinn spent hours in. She also loved digging in the sand at the beach and finding sea shells. She would begin most days at a nearby park that had fountains to play in. And she would end most days with an outdoor shower. SHe now wonders why we don't have an outdoor shower at home. Really they are quite fun and convenient.
